Rates, Dates and Deadlines:

Room rates have been locked in at $164 per room whether single, double, triple, or quad. Contingent upon room and rate availability the hotel will offer these rates three days before and after the reunion dates of April 28 thru May 1.

The deadline for room registration is March 29, 2010.

Due to the shortened reunion time frame the reunion committee encourages member and guest arrival on Tuesday, April 27th to take advantage of tours planned for Wednesday, April 28th.

Parking: Normally $14 daily or $18 valet has been negotiated to a discounted rate of $10 for self-parking with “in-and-out” privileges.

Centrally located in Mission Valley, the hotel is steps from a San Diego Trolley stop to downtown and just minutes away from Historic Old Town and the Gaslamp Quarter District. Only eight miles from the airport, and close to the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, the San Diego Mission, and Balboa Park. Mission Valley and Fashion Valley shopping centers are minutes away by car or trolley.

The Marine Corps Exchange, Naval Medical Center, and other military facilities are within a 15-20 minute drive.

Accommodations and Amenities:

The hotel is 17 floors and features 350 rooms - each with a private balcony. The rooms are tastefully decorated and boast luxurious bedding - down comforters, custom duvets, cotton-rich linens and down/feather pillows. Other essentials include coffee maker, tea service, iron /ironing board, alarm clock, hair dryer, bathrobe, cable television, internet browser/web TV. Dining:

Café Del Sol is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and features American and Spanish cuisine. A Starbucks coffee bar stocked with pastries and fruit is available. Nearby restaurants include: Benihana, Dave & Busters, Pat & Oscars, Denny’s, DZ Akins (deli-style), El Torito’s Restaurant & Cantina, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, and others.

Recreation:

On site recreation includes an outdoor heated pool, whirlpool, and fitness center. There is a jogging/fitness trail along the San Diego River bed adjacent to the hotel. Admiral Baker Golf Course is a five minute drive to the east.
